Carey Linde was born in New York City, but hails from Vermont. He prefaced his legal career by briefly attending the Berklee School of Jazz in Boston, before dropping out to seek his fortunes in Canada. Arriving during the social foment of the 60’s, Carey enrolled as a student at the University of British Columbia.  A so-called radical, he unfortunately failed to pull off a revolution, but succeeded in graduating with a degree in law – at the bottom of his class – or so he claims.

After practising family law, helping people in the remote Haida village of Skidegate, he returned to Vancouver.  But it was on a sojourn to Cuba, that he developed an interest in film, when he and his comrades pledged on their honour to  immortalize in a documentary, a Canadian Holstein bull that had become a hero in Cuba. His love for people (and bulls) caused Carey to cross the Coolmix path.

Our Coolmix legal counsel par excellence, Carey Linde.
